Junior Whiz Kid Pairs With Financial Gurus

At age 9, Kam Markowski started investing in the stock market. Now 16 and a junior at Pope John Paul II High School, he estimates that by the time he goes to college next year, his portfolio will be worth about $20,000.

Markowski, a Barnstable lifeguard and Cotuit resident, will team up with two financial services veterans – Pam Krueger from PBS TV’s “MoneyTrack” and Wall Street Journal wealth management columnist Norb Vonnegut – to present “How to Raise A Money-Savvy Kid” at Osterville Village Library Wednesday, Aug. 23.
