Senior Awarded Cape Cod Military Officers Scholarship

A total of $10,000 went to four high school seniors from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and the Islands on May 6, 2017.  For a fourth year the Cape Cod Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America at its annual scholarship event awarded that amount to finalists from among 45 applicants representing 12 institutions.

Meghan Remillard, East Falmouth, Massachusetts, seeks a degree in German at University of Vermont, Burlington – although she has four years of Mandarin with A+ grades behind her.  An older brother, one of eight children, four of whom are foreign adoptees, is a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps.  Active in her Roman Catholic parish youth ministry, she has a 3.95 grade point average, is an AP Scholar, was a member of the lacrosse and swim teams, has acted more than one part in several dramatic productions and dreams of world travel.
